Is someone trying to tell me something? I've been lacking anything to say and desire to be very creative....it just hasn't been working for me. Something funny has been happening though, everywhere I look; I see lovely camera related details. So many pretties that I would love to have! First, I fell in love with this classic preppy looking camera strap. So awesome! Next, I found a classic camera bag by Leica, while reading through Lucky magazine. There aren't many things I love more than beautiful stitching in leather. Does that sound crazy? I just think its such a beautiful detail!
On occasion, I actually enjoy being girlie. I know its hard to believe isn't it?! Ha, ha! Anyway, on those rare days, I would love to own one of these gorgeous bags by Epiphanie. As hard core as I am about photography, I often leave my handbag behind in order to carry my camera bag. Its not very pretty, especially on formal occasions. Finally, there is a solution for that dilemma. Anyone else ever have that problem?
I'm starting to think my old friend (my beloved camera) is calling me to pick it up again. Its been a while...but perhaps its time. Diary of a Mod Housewife

I wanted to thank all of you for your words of encouragement and for your prayers after my dad's passing. We are back home and working on moving forward. I'm going to admit that I'm not feeling overly creative right now. Mostly, I'm trying to keep moving one step at a time. I'm also trying to catch up on everything I've been neglecting for the last few weeks. So, for now; I don't have much to say. Thankfully, I'm slowly starting to see the light again.
Thanks againCarolina

Busy, busy, busy. I've been terribly distracted from blogging this week!! On the upside, I did make it to Round Top more than once! It was great, but now I'm very behind on all my work. To make up for it, I'm sharing some recent Flickr favorites. I see that they all seem to have a theme...movement. Hope you like:)

Click over to the rest of my Flickr Favorites to see these and more. Hope every one has a great weekend!I'll be back on Monday with some of my own photos from my shopping excursion.

This morning I was scrolling through my phone and found a note I made for myself. All it said was Guy Matthews, Australia. I had no idea what that meant nor when I typed it. So, I went to trusty Google and found photos of an amazing vintage store in Melbourne. Now the frustrating thing is that there doesn't seem to be a website for the place. So I'm left with a few photos that lure me in and leave wanting more!

Wow, I'm back! I've been gone for 9 days, visiting my family. We finally got home last night and I feel all out of sorts. Mark actually forgot which cabinet we keep our dishes in. I apologize for no posting, but I had spartan internet access, at best. In a funny way, I enjoyed being away from computers. I was able to forget about a lot of my concerns. Unfortunately, today I'm trying to catch up with the rest of the world. I found this house via Accidental Mysteries, and it reminded me of how I feel....lost in time.
This home was recently sold in St. Louis. The entire structure is a time capsule, all the way down to the matching pink bedside lamps. Go to the article here, to see how strategically placed carpet squares and a basement allowed this house to stay in such pristine condition. Its hilarious!House Building

These photos of Cairo by Denis Dailleux, present the city as a mysterious and magical place. By looking at them,I am transported there and can imagine the sites and sounds of Egypt.

If you are like me, you took a Monday off from blogland. If you did you may have missed the release ofRefueled magazine's third issue. If you haven't seen it, its a great collaborative effort by bloggers Chris Brown,
Cheryl Schulke, and Don Weir. I'm a big fan of their styles and love this magazine! Check out the
article featuring Courtney Barton's home...although it makes me a little sad that Courtney is so far away now:(

I also love the article these photos taken at the hotel Saint Cecilia. definitely need to put this on my list of
places to stay. It is the most recent venture of the creative minds who formed the Hotel San Jose. So fabulous!

Before setting out to renovate the house, the new owner took the time to document what was
left behind. The New York Times is showing this collection of photos to the public for the first time.
They are not just a look into a homes interior but into the minds of its former owners.

(Look who's back! I apologize for my LONG absence. We went out of town and I assumedthat I could keep blogging, but as it turns out; I had virtually no internet access.
What a nightmare! Thankfully I'm home again).
One of the most fascinating blogs I have run across lately is called "The Kingston Lounge".
The writer's objective is to document amazing but forgotten buildings. The photography
featured on this blog is gorgeous and the interiors of the dilapidated buildings are surreal.
They feel like a view into another world. Just love it.

Several of the photos are now for sale in both limited and unlimited editions. These would be a great addition to any collection.

I know some of you have had trouble finding my blog the last couple of days. I tried to switch my domain to dot com site, but it hasn't been a smooth transition. Last night, even I couldn't find it! Until I figure out what I'm doing wrong, I switched back. If anyone has suggestions, please let me know.
Also, this week I decided to shut down my booth @ Heights Antiques. In recent months its been very difficult to make any money, so I decided to move out. I want to thank all of you who stopped by. It was nice hearing from those of you who did. My long time plan has been to begin an online store and I have been hard at work trying to make it happen. I hope to have it up very soon. I can't wait! So I'm hoping to have several fun changes soon.

I often love squinting my eyes when looking at something, so I can only see beautiful colors. Trever Hoehne's series called "Blurry Things" does just that. Try it sometime! Even the most mundane object takes on a whole new appearance. Note: I also see the world like this every time I take my glasses off...Astigmatism.
